Pastor Dan's Biography

Growing up in Rhode Island, Pastor Dan spent the first twenty-one years of his life living  for sports, particularly baseball.  He realized his goal by signing as a catcher with the Chicago Cubs; however God had other plans; for in 1962 he and  is wife accepted Christ into their lives and began an exciting and new direction for their lives. Pastor Dan went on to attend and graduate from a Christian college and seminary in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he was President of the Student Body, President of the Senior Class and voted 'Most Inspirational' by his peers.  Dan served as head college baseball coach, winning the honor of SCCA Coach of The Year eight consecutive years.  He coached college basketball, served as  Assistant Athletic Director and taught 'Coaching of Baseball, Basketball and Football,' as well as 'Minor Sports' at the university.  Through Baseball Chapel Dan conducted services and Bible Studies for the Texas Rangers' system during their  last ten years  in Port Charlotte, Florida.  Having pastored ten years in New Hampshire and another ten years in Florida, Dan spent the last four years as Chaplain for Hope Hospice in Lee County in Florida.  Following his retirement, Pastor Dan accepted the call to Tatum Ridge Baptist Church in 2005.
