Pastor Dan's Biography
Growing up in
Rhode Island, Pastor Dan spent the first twenty-one years of his life
living for sports, particularly baseball. He realized his goal by
signing as a catcher with the Chicago Cubs; however God had other plans;
for in 1962 he and is wife accepted Christ into their lives and began
an exciting and new direction for their lives. Pastor Dan went on to
attend and graduate from a Christian college and seminary in
Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he was President of the Student Body,
President of the Senior Class and voted 'Most Inspirational' by his
peers. Dan served as head college baseball coach, winning the honor of
SCCA Coach of The Year eight consecutive years. He coached college
basketball, served as Assistant Athletic Director and taught 'Coaching
of Baseball, Basketball and Football,' as well as 'Minor Sports' at the
university. Through Baseball Chapel Dan conducted services and Bible
Studies for the Texas Rangers' system during their last ten years in
Port Charlotte, Florida. Having pastored ten years in New Hampshire and
another ten years in Florida, Dan spent the last four years as Chaplain
for Hope Hospice in Lee County in Florida. Following his retirement,
Pastor Dan accepted the call to Tatum Ridge Baptist Church in 2005.
